I kept saying peanut butter cups are not what they used to be. Way back a long time ago (thank you, Alley Oop by The Hollywood Argyles) they were two for a penny, or a nickle. I forget. It was a loooong time ago. I bought two on my way to school every day I had the right coin. In my opinion, the original size is the only one that tastes as it should. Or used to. Interestingly enough, to me anyway, is I always found Hershey’s chocolate to taste different according to shape, a fact I’ve since read is real. Anyway, check this out:
This. Why is this necessary? Don’t eggs already come in the perfect holder?
Check out The Late Show With Stephen Colbert channel on YouTube to see his interview with James Talarico, who I have seen a lot of Instagram and has some very good things to say. Check him out. It’s titled:
Rep. James Talarico On Confronting Christian Nationalism, And Strange Days In The Texas Legislature
Here’s a quote from the interview, but check him out on Instagram.
“Jesus in Matthew 25 tells us exactly how you and I and every one of our fellow believers how we’re going to be judged and how we’re going to be saved. By feeding the hungry, by healing the sick, by welcoming the stranger. Nothing about going to church, nothing about voting Republican. It was all about how you treat other people. I’ve said before, don’t tell me what you believe. Show me how you treat other people and I’ll tell you what you believe. “
And here’s another bit
“Jesus gave us two commandments. Love God and love neighbor. And there was no exception to that second commandment. Love thy neighbor regardless of race or gender or sexual orientation or immigration status or religious affiliation.”
And one more
“…there is a point to this craziness. They want us talking about furries and bathrooms. So, we don’t realize that they are picking our pockets, that they are closing our schools, they are gutting our health care, and they are raising taxes on all of us while they cut taxes for their billionaire donors. The culture wars are a smoke screen because the real fight in this country is not left versus right, it’s top versus bottom.”
