What should you have done?

You should have exercised critical thinking skills, recognized the thousands of lies you were being told, recalled that his administration had four years to live up to his promises and failed at all of them. You should have realized that he is a profoundly stupid individual who doesn’t give a shit about you or your family or anything except himself.

You had the last nine years to see that, and you still fell for his bullshit.”

Unfortunately, critical thinking skills are not taught in US schools. We are doomed by our own ignorance.

But it’s not going well. There is no consolation in the fact that those of us who voted blue know what we are in for, but those who voted red are going to have a very rude awakening when they realize that they are not special, and hating the same people that the orange disgrace hates does not make you exempt from what is going to happen.

I now I haven’t blogged in a while, lots going on, some good, some not. But I got a new homemaker who is fantastic, and I just asked her if she voted yet. No, because she doesn’t know who to vote for, because she’s heard they are both bad. She is a college student who knows nothing about Trump’s agenda, because she doesn’t spend much time on line, she said. I explained to her that if Trump gets in, I will not be able to have her back, because I won’t have the services I need to pay for her. Actually, I wouldn’t be able to have her back anyway, because I will be homeless. Trump and his cronies want to take away all the support systems that exist for people who are not rich old white men. Systems we paid for all our working lives through payroll deductions. Our money. I am afraid there are probably a lot of people like her, who don’t really know what’s going on. I explained about reproduction rights, how Republicans want control of HER body, and women are dying in Texas now because they are not allowed an abortion even if the fetus is not viable. A woman was arrested for having an abortion after actually having had a miscarriage. This is our future it that despicable excuse for a human being gest in, and every one who votes for him will suffer the same things that the rest of us will. Voting for Trump won’t mean you get to keep your support systems, your medicare, you housing assistance. I was worried last time, this time I am really scared. Please vote BLUE. Please.
