There’s an article in Live Science about companies working to ‘deextinct’ certain animals. The argument against it is strong, but the key to any endeavor is this, from the article:
“Regardless of (company) ecological impact, the company could still see a big return on investment, Lynch said.
“If they’re successful — and I have no doubt that they will be — they’re going to make a ton of money,” he said.”
The only consideration that matters in today’s world. How much money can I make off this?

Here’s an article about how it’s a bad idea. https://humansandnature.org/the-perils-of-de-extinction/
Humanity has no humanity in so many instances, it seems. (The quality of being humane; benevolence.) Here’s a quote from said article:
“Any species that we bring back,” he writes, “could be engineered to be eliminated easily should it pose a problem.”
So if we create these replica beings, living creatures, but decide we don’t want them after all, just engineer them to be easily killed. Meh!
