8: what artistic medium do you use to express your feelings?

None, I guess.  I used to crochet a lot, and do a lot of things with herbs, purchased and home-grown.  I need to start doing things again.  If I could get past the pain and lethargy to a feeling reasonably human again.  It will happen, she says confidently.  HA!

  1. Hang on, you write. That’s an artistic medium! For me, it’s writing and gardening and making stuff. Not really that artistic. Setting up the new visitor place to be really nice so we can get more money, haha. I’m researching local history to write a booklet. The daffodils are from a farmhouse that burnt down in the ’67 fires, but I don’t know yet who lived there, just that they grew berries, fruit and potatoes. Then another farmer had cattle and after that, there was a herd of scottish highland cows. Then there is the local wildlife to write about and the forest all around the land and I’m going to get a map that shows the islands etc you can see. And a telescope, so people can have fun checking out ships and boats that pass through the bay to go to Hobart or to Bruny Island.

    • Sounds like a book I’d like. I never think about writing. I don’t think of myself as I writer at all. I just put my thoughts down in a blog. You’re the only person who ever comments, so I don’t think even my thoughts are all that interesting or thought-provoking.
Enjoying your Sung Haus. It’s going to be amazing, isn’t it? Just the view alone is incredible. Will you have your bed situated so you can look out at it from there? I think that would be pretty nice. 🙂

      • Yep, the bed will look straight out. They’ve just started building the ‘big’ house and hopefully we’ll be able to sleep in the little one in a couple of weeks. When the bigger house is finished, we’ll unpack our stuff and move in properly and then will come the scary part – making the little house pay for itself as a tourist cottage.
