Lines

petpeevesAnother pet peeve. I have a lot of those, don’t I? Anyway, there’s a little bit on Digg about what kind of lines are better,
Digg

and at the end, there’s this:

“Yes, you wait IN line, and not ON line, because you are IN a line of people and not ON them.”

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This drives me batty, like ‘span’ instead of ‘spun’, and ground when they mean floor and vice versa.

Or, ” I have to be *to* work at 9″ instead of *at* work. What??
