“It’s probably apocryphal, but the story goes that a Native American was told about the reason behind daylight saving time and he replied, “Only a white man would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and have a longer blanket.” Whether this was said or not, that is one true goddamn statement.

In other news, I got put on Zoloft a week and a half ago. Amazing. Less pain, sleeping better, but spent most of the week doing absolutely nothing but staying on the couch with my blanket and my kindle and reading for hours. Could not even concentrate on tv. Finally feeling like myself again, and actually got some work done on the laptop, which I had not turned on since Sunday. A record for me. I can go a day, maybe two, but not most of a week. Happy to be back to ‘normal’ for me. Not seeing any social media for those days was wonderful. Do not want to go back to all the bad news, so may just keep skipping that folder for some time. I only do social media on my laptop, not my phone, which helps greatly to save my sanity. I am not one who lives on their phone. Life is too short. I want to spend as much of it as possible in the real world. Or on my kindle. I am a dedicated reader, always have been since I first learned how. So many books, so little time. I also read tons of Torchwood and some Sherlock fan fiction. There are some brilliant writers out there, who let you read their work for free. Isn’t that fantastic? Yes. Yes it is.
